Rory McIlroy Shows His Skills for ESPN Sports Science

Two things about the post-engagement to Caroline Wozniacki break-up Rory McIlroy: He’s playing great golf and seeming to have a lot of fun.

Appearing on ESPN’s Sports Science recently, McIlroy showed amazing ability in unlikely circumstances, knocking a drive through a 10′ x 10′ opening from outside a building at night; clearing a ball out of a bunker full of cole slaw and knocking down a 50-foot putt on a glass surface on just his second effort.

The drive was performed on his first attempt, from outside the show’s laboratory building at 8:47 p.m. McIlroy put the ball under two trees, past a concrete wall and into the narrow gap.

He likewise cleared the coleslaw on the first attempt, nearly dropping the ball into a nearby bucket.

The putt on glass – which the show proclaimed runs 3-1/2 times faster than the greens at the US Open, was the most impressive feat. His first putt missed the hole by about 1-/2 inch, the second was right on the money.
