Audiences in the UK recently got a first look at the trailer for “Seve” a biographical film based on the life of legendary Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros.
Ballesteros won an European Tour record 50 titles, along with five Major titles on the PGA Tour. He played professionally from 1974-2007, and passed away in 2011, three years after collapsing at an airport, after which time X-rays revealed a malignant brain tumor.
The film, set to open in late June, stars Spain’s Joe Luis Gutierrez, who is not an actor, but at 15, is a golfer with a 4-handicap. Gutierrez will portray Ballesteros as a young man, with archived footage providing the rest of the movie’s scenes.
