No Tiger, No Problem as Bay Hill Tees Up
Sure eight-time winner Tiger Woods isn’t at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill this week, but does it really matter? The way Woods has played so far in 2015, you wouldn’t think so.
To compensate for the great one’s absence, Bay Hill offers off one of the sweetest trios possible early Thursday afternoon – Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, and Rickie Fowler teeing off together on the front nine.
With the Masters just two weeks out, players are eager to get into top form in pursuit of the green jacket. Not in attendance however, is Jordan Spieth, who won last week’s Valspar Open in dramatic fashion in a playoff on a 30-foot putt.
Former FedEx Cup winners Brandt Snedeker, Billy Horschel, and Henrik Stenson were tied atop the early leaderboard at 3-under through eight holes.
