Ryan Moore Takes 1-Stroke at Valspar
Ryan Moore fired a 4-under 67, tied for the best score of the day, to take a 1-stroke lead into the final round of the Valspar Open.
Moore fired 12 straight pars to open the day, then birdied four of last six holes to make his mark in the round. Moore is the only player in the field to shoot below 70 in each of the first three rounds.
Moore is one stroke ahead of Jordan Spieth, who shot a 68. Day Two leader Brendon de Jonge fell well back in the chase with a 64, dropping to a tie for 14th with a 4-over 75. Things got ugly for de Jonge in a hurry on Saturday. He had a stretch of five bogeys in six holes to go sliding down the leaderboard in a hurry.
Derek Ernst is third at 7-under after shooting a 69, and Sean O’Hair is fourth after doing likewise.
