Holmes Scores Ace, Lead up to 5 at Doral
Dustin Johnson had an ace, a place in history and all the momentum in the world on Saturday at the Blue Monster.
It lasted for about 24 minutes.
No one had ever aced the No. 4 hole at Doral before Johnson did it Saturday to pull within one stroke of leader J.B. Holmes, but Holmes himself aced the same hole less than half an hour later, and birdied four of his last five holes to up his lead to five strokes headed for the final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
Holmes finished with a 70 on a day when only six men shot less than that.
