Four Pack Top at Humana Challenge
It’ll be anyone’s tournament to win Sunday at the Humana Challenge as four players are tied for the lead and another four sit a stroke back.
One of those in second place is Matt Kuchar, who had the lead until he bogeyed three of the final four holes on Saturday.
Americans Erik Compton, Bill Haas, Justin Thomas and Michael Putnam are all tied at 17-under, with Compton moving up from seventh place thanks to a 5-under 67. Putnam built on his near-record 61 Friday with a 68
One stroke back are Kuchar, Steve Wheatcroft, Scott Pinkney, and Ryan Palmer, who built on his near-record 61 Friday with a 68.
In all, 48 players are at least 10 strokes under par, with plenty of big names still lurking in the weeds, notably Phil Mickleson, Patrick Reed, and Billy Horschel.
Reed, already with the Hyundai crown this year, fired a bogey-free 67 to climb into a tie for ninth at 14-under. Horschel, last year’s FedExCup winner, shot a 65 to drop to 13-under, and Mickelson is at 11-under after shooting a 68.
