Defending champion Patrick Reed and 10 other former winners are in the field for the Humana Challenge, which kicks off Thursday at the PGA West in La Quinta, California.

Reed is about the hottest thing going – having won this tournament a year ago and winning the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in his last start. He’s playing next to Matt Kuchar, No. 11 in the official world golf rankings and Reed’s fellow 2014 Ryder Cup member. The two tee off Thursday at 9:10 a.m.

A slimmed-down Jason Dufner, making his first start of 2015, will tee off at 10:10 a.m. along with good friend Keegan Bradley, who poked at Dufner’s former body with the media Friday. Dufner, now on a gluten-free diet, has lost 20 pounds.

The brightest star in the field and the biggest star from the end of the 2014 season will be paired together for an 8:40 a.m. tee time. Phil Mickelson makes his first start of the year paired with FedExCup winner Billy Horschel. Mickleson won the Humana tournament in 2002 and 2004.
