The Race to Dubai is over – at least in terms of who will enter the year-end playoff in the best position to win it.

Thanks to his third straight victory on Sunday, Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy has now earned €5.12 million in prize money in just 12 events this year.

He’s nearly €3 million ahead of the No. 2 player on the list – Spain’s Sergio Garcia, who checks in with €2.27 million.

Fifteen players have cracked the €1 million mark for the season, with Mikko Ilonen and Miguel Angel Jimenez joining that group at the PGA Championship last week in Kentucky.

The top 60 players in the standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the Race to Dubai playoffs. At present, spot No. 60 is held by Spain’s Gonzalo Fdez-Castano with €315,991. There are six players within €35,000 of Fdez-Castano.
