Chris Paisley, Adrien Saddier Take Lead at BMW SA Open
Chris Paisley and Adrien Saddier, two players ranked outside the top 250 in the world, are tied for the lead at the BMW SA Open after two rounds.
Frenchman Saddier, ranked 264th in the world, fired a tournament-best 63. He recorded six birdies and an eagle to reach 9-under and has yet to record a bogey so far in the tournament.
Englishman Paisley, ranked 289th in the world, shot a 7-under 65. He recorded six birdies on the back nine.
American Chase Koepka, younger brother of US Open champ Brooks, and Branden Grace, both co-leaders on Day One, fell back to a tie for fourth at 8-under. Both men shot 1-under 71s on the day and are tied with South African legend Retief Goosen.
Goosen, who will turn 49 on February 3, shot a 5-under 67 despite a pair of double bogeys in the final six holes. He was 5-under on the front nine with an eagle on No. 8. Goosen’s last European Tour win came in January of 2007.
