AWARD FOR SLALEY HALL
De Vere Slaley Hall has earned one of highest accolades from leading travel review website, TripAdvisor, by receiving the ‘2014 Four Star Certificate of Excellence Award’.
This prestigious award is based on the quality and quantity of reviews over the past 12 months, in which the premier Northumberland resort’s championship-standard golf courses have consistently received an average rating of four out of five or better.
This positions Slaley Hall within the upper echelons of golf courses and resorts across the world, with only the top 10 percent receiving this mark of honour from the website.
TripAdvisor utilises guest reviews to rank golf courses and resorts, and this award pays credit to the first class guest experiences available at Slaley Hall.
From the moment of booking your tee time, through to the moment you finish your drink in the Claret Jug clubhouse bar, the luxurious North East resort prides itself on combining the best golf courses and facilities with the renowned hospitality that can be expected across the De Vere Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
Throughout the past year, golfers have been unanimous in their praise for the resort’s golfing layouts. The reputation of the resort as a tournament venue has been underlined over the years, having hosted a wealth of leading professional tournaments.
Steve Cram (no, not that one), Golf Course & Estate Manager, has overseen six European Tour and 13 European Senior Tour events at the resort, and is responsible, along with his outstanding team, for presenting the courses in stunning condition all year round.
Keith Pickard, Group Director of Golf, has been involved with Slaley Hall for many years and is delighted to be recognised by the renowned travel website.
He said: “It is very pleasing to see Slaley receive such a prestigious award, and underlines the resort’s position amongst the world’s leading 10 percent of golfing venues. Some people don’t realise quite how impressive the golf courses are before they visit, but I would encourage everyone to go along and make the most of the stunning conditioning.”
