World No. 1 Jordan Spieth is already in take no prisoners mode this season, firing a second-round 64 to open up a four-stroke lead at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the Plantation Course at Kapalua, on the Hawaiian island of Maui in Friday.

Spieth’s second round was flawless – seven birdies and an eagle 3 on the par-5 No. 9. He has yet to hit a bogey on the tournament.

His lead is four over Kevin Kisner, Argentina’s Fabian Gomez, and defending champion Patrick Reed who shot 65, 66, and 69, respectively.

Like Spieth, Reed is yet to record a bogey in the tournament. Two other players, American Rickie Fowler (-10) and Australia’s Danny Lee (-11) are double-digits under par through 36 holes.

Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson had a chance to join the field in double-digits, but a late bogey broke a streak of four straight birdies, leaving him 9-under after a 68.
