Soggy Sanderson Hopes to Conclude Monday

Stop us if you’ve heard this one, but play at Sanderson Farms was suspended because of wet weather on Sunday.

It’s the third straight day that’s happened, and will mean a marathon Monday for anyone hoping to win the PGA Tournament.

Currently Roberto Castro, David Toms, and Patton Kizzire are tied for the lead at 14-under. Toms and Kizzire have actually completed all 54 of their holes for the first three rounds. Castro has 12 to go to finish his third round, after which time he’ll play another 18.

Both Kizzire and Toms fired 66s to get out of the teens and into a share of the lead headed into the fourth round.

Kizzire drilled an eagle 3 on the par-5 No. 15 to get there; Toms had five birdies in a bogey-free round.

Four more players are a stroke off the lead at 13-under, although only one, William McGirt, had finished his third round as of Monday morning.
