American Kevin Kisner fired a second-round 66 to jump to a 2-stroke lead at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai.

Day 1 leader Branden Grace of South Africa slid back two spots after managing a 71 following his opening-round 63.

Scotland’s Russell Knox is between the two at 12-under, two strokes behind Kisner after firing a 65, the best round of the day.

Knox had seven birdies in a bogey-free round.  Last year’s champion, American Dustin Johnson, shot a 71 to stay tied for sixth, six strokes off the lead.

Of the players in the world Top 10, he’s the one doing the best as Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and Rickie Fowler all shot even-par 72s to stay at 4-under, dropping back into a tie for 27th.

Bubba Watson was a shot worse at 1-over with a 73 to fall to -3  and a tie for 37th.
